With over two decades of experience in the Broadway, national tour, and regional theater community, Andrew Samonsky is focused on nurturing the next generation of great artists. From Lin Manuel Miranda, Kelli O’Hara, Chita Rivera, and Michael Arden to Alan Menken, Stephen Schwartz, Rachel Chavkin and Jason Robert Brown, Andrew has collaborated with many of the preeminent performers and creative teams in the theater world.
Andrew’s broad experience and attention to the individual will help you grow as a singer and actor in all musical styles to fulfill your authentic performance potential, while providing a safe and supportive space to allow you to courageously explore your artistry. Every person has their own unique voice and compelling story to tell.

Whether is it to improve your vocal range, breath control, stamina, or clarity of tone, Andrew will help you connect your voice to your body, release tension, and gain confidence in your improved technique. The right vocal foundation will lend itself to any style, be it contemporary, legit, pop, or rock, and give you the stamina to sing eight shows a week.
Andrew specializes in male identifying voices but works with all humans.
$150 (55 minutes)
Bring in your upcoming audition any current or material to work on: scene, monologue, song, or group number. Learn how to walk into the room with genuine confidence, manage nerves, and give your most connected performance. Or maybe you want to unlearn bad habits from material you’ve done in the past. We will refine the work for any setting: audition, cabaret, show, competition, or classroom.

About Andrew…
First and foremost, Andrew is the lucky husband to his wife, Broadway and TV veteran Kate Reinders (Wicked, Something Rotten, HSMTMTS’s Miss Jenn), and father to their son, Luke (fan of Star Wars, Captain Underpants, and dad singing more quietly).
Currently based in Salt Lake City, Andrew is a professor in the University of Utah’s Musical Theatre Program. He has made supporting the next generation of great artists and performers his primary focus. He holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from CSUN where he studied vocal pedagogy, music theory, and performed leads in several operas. He has taught masterclasses across the country including UC, Irvine where he received his MFA in Acting. He then studied under NYC’s iconic teacher Craig Carnelia and has collaborated with six Tony winning directors.
Andrew’s Broadway credits started in the Tony winning production of South Pacific as a Seabee and then Lt. Cable, playing opposite Kelli O’Hara and Tony winner Paulo Szot, where he can be seen on the Live from Lincoln Center PBS broadcast. He went on to star on Broadway in Scandalous, opposite Carolee Carmelo; The Mystery of Edwin Drood, opposite Chita Rivera, Stephanie J. Block, and Jessie Mueller; and Lempicka, opposite Eden Espinosa.
His first national touring credits include The Bridges of Madison County, Come From Away, Parade, and Disney’s On the Record. He earned a Drama Desk nomination for his portrayal of Frank Russell in the Off-Broadway run of Queen of the Mist. He was featured in NY City Center’s Encores! productions of Merrily We Roll Along and Fiorello!. Notably, he can be heard as Captain Phoebus in the American Premiere Studio Recording of The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Other recordings include the original cast recordings of Lempicka, Scandalous, Queen of the Mist, Disney’s On the Record, as well as a solo album, 2AM at the Sands.
Regionally, his theater work has crossed the country including Williamstown Theater Festival, American Conservatory Theater, La Jolla Playhouse, Papermill Playhouse, The Old Globe, Pioneer Theatre Co., Portland Center Stage, The Ford’s Theater, The MUNY, Alabama Shakespeare Festival, and Musical Theatre Wichita.
He has been a soloist with NY Philharmonic and The Boston Pops and seen on TV in Elementary and Madam Secretary.
